Since about the time Charley hit Florida, I've been getting remarkably little spam. Whereas I was typically getting at least thirty pill messages per day, I suddenly went to about half that when Charley hit. As the other hurricanes in Florida have come and gone, the quantities of spam coming to me have decreased more and more, until now I'm getting only about two per day.

This was predicted prior to Charley over here [webmasterworld.com] (posts 14-15), and I noticed this decreasing trend before I remembered that this prediction had been made.

Has anyone else noticed a downward trend in spam, and what's the opinion as to whether or not it's related to all those hurricanes?

<edit> Just noticed elsewhere [webmasterworld.com] in Foo that apparently not everybody has seen a decrease in spam. So is it just me? </edit>

In the past several days I've had a huge increase. Florida, Louisiana spam servers back up and making up for lost time?

Maybe they are trying to find a way to pay for the damage that the hurriance caused ;-)
