I recently got a new PC - I like it a lot, apart from the darn mouse.

I used to have a great wireless mouse, that would sit in a cradle, when not in use, and recharge itself...nice.

The new PC (HP pavilion something) has a wireless "detector" thing that picks up the wireless keyboard and mouse input.

It's forever complaining that the mouse needs new batteries.

Is their a good upgrade so I can ditch the standard one to a cradle recharging mouse? it didn't recognise the old mouse when I plugged it in :( ...any opinions / suggestions appreciated...

Does the old mouse have a driver you can download?

yes - that's probably needed :) - I was hoping for a quick plug and play, but I guess I need to play around with it a bit more...
