I haven't seen this book for ages, but I saw an updated hardback edition in a bookshop the other day.

Wondered if there might be a sneak preview online and lo and behold - the entire contents are there, complete with a random profanity generator to simulate thumbing through the pages of the offline edition.

Some gems I just came across:

I particularly like this one:-

That brief but exciting pyrotechnic display achieved by igniting one's air biscuits (qv).

I'll let you go look up "air biscuit" but your first guess was correct ;-)

Also "Are you in there Mr Hill" is one I shall remember for a long time.
