When I feel like this, I make myself do at least a little bit each day. Even if it means sometimes working for just 15 minutes in a 24 hour period. In the spirit of the old saying, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step", it's helpful to break a big project into multiple mini-projects.

Maybe you could look at some other websites for inspiration? I often find that flicking through a nice glossy book with pictures of websites or even other types of art/design helps. I know it's probably a bit weird to get a book to look at websites but I think sometimes it's also good to tear yourself away from the 'pooter every once in a while.

On the basis that it's a home project and not work: go back to it after a couple of beers/glasses of wine/whatever. Seriously, you'll be surprised at how the creative juices can flow (much like the beer).

Recall your objectives, your initial aims. You have undoubtedly lost inspiration because IT (the way you have approached the project, and what you have done with it to-date) is not inspiring you. You will see things that you had not before once you've loosened up a little (I am talking about a couple of beers here - not attacking your computer after an all night session!).

Use a note pad rather than look to make direct, on-screen changes there and then. Come back to these notes in the morning and see what you thought the night before.

Again, I'm being totally serious here.

Alternatively, go back to the project after a good session at the gym. With the endorphines rushing around your brain giving you that feel good factor and bright-eyed and bushy tailed alertness, you can tap into a great creative vein.

Government Health Warning: Excessive alchohol consumption is bad for you. Do not drive whilst under the influence of alcohol. If you are under the legal drinking age - tough.
