All of a sudden spam is creeping back into my Yahoo inbox. Am I alone? Why now?

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. The Yahoo spam filter used to be pretty dang good for keeping that stuff out of my In Box, but in the last week it almost seems like it's broken. All sorts of spam is now getting through their filter.... what, and I pay $19.99 a year for spam?

What's the best way to register this problem where it will do some good, assuming that two yeses indicate a general situation? Best, S

Last few months have seen the rise of particular breed of spammers in spam business who specialize in getting the spam into Yahoo/AOL/hotmail inboxes and not in the bulk folders. So it is not that Yahoo's filters are failing but it is because spammers are getting better in doing what they do and have the upper hand in the game at the moment. Yahoo will take some time to catch-up with them because they usually follow the spammers to where they go. IMO Yahoo is still the best value for money when it comes to effectiveness of email filters and I use them for business email.

Something has happened in the past week or so. For a while I was getting next to no spam at all. Now I am getting around 50 sneaking through per day.

Glad to see someone else appreciates Yahoo. I have used them since 1994. One account. No complaints really. Cheers, S
