I think the benefits for them will be marginal. I believe Coors has only one brewry in Colorado. By transfering part of their production in Canada, they could save a little to deliver the goods in northen parts of US.
There is nothing veiled about shipping Canadian beer to the Yanks. About a mile from where I am sitting is a major highway that heads to the border. You can see Molson and Labatt trucks traveling to the border all day long.
You can buy Canadian beer in just about every grocery store in the USA. We are taking over!
But, just a note to my American neighbors, the beer we brew for you is not the full-strength stuff we have up here.
I dont want a fight here, but wich real brewer in a sane mind would bottle 'beer' in green colored or clear bottles?
That is insane!
As soon you see a 'beer' bottled in such miserable conditions, avoid it!
Yes beer is very senstive to light. Ever had a Stella or a Corona that tasted 'skunky'?
Ever tasted ANY beer that was skunky? Prolonged light exposure and hot/cold fluctuation will kill any beer. Keep it in the brown bottle at 38F. Makes my mouth water.
As for the Coors/Molson marriage... can't say I care much. Coors is garbage, as is Molson (although I'll take a few XXX any day). As long as Labatt's doesn't do anything stupid like that, I will stay a happy man.
