Okay, so my brain is turning into an oozing mess after working for about 14 hours without a break, so to take a break I start clicking through various links about 301 redirects on IIS (some break, eh?) and eventually find my way to a forum focused on SEO.

So, I read a few posts and I rapidly form the opinion that by comparison to WW the threads are, errr, juvenile (not mature, professional sounding, erudite, NOT RogerD type material). Then, the old brain mush thinks "I'll bet this kinda crowd has some members who would think that WW, with it policies that are actually enforced, is" - well, you fill in the blanks.

So, following this logic leads the old gray matter to say "Geez, I wonder if the brats of the world create posts, webpages, etc. that are filled with vile teen angst, railing on about how "WebmasterWorld sucks, they won't let me run on with my potty mouth or post my affiliate links", so I do a Google search: "WebmasterWorld sucks" and "WebmasterWorld.com sucks".

Results?

0. Zilch. Nada. Not a one.

I think there's some kind of compliment built into this post proclaiming the results of my research, but I'm having a hard time firmly fixing what that positive, complimentary thought is.

I guess it's this: A forum of this magnitude and not one voice in the wilderness proclaiming WW sucks. I guess I'm paying a sort-of backhanded compliment. Damning by faint praise, as the saying goes.

Brett Teflon Tabke.

Hey, I'm tired so little things entertain my brain. This is foo, right? My brain is foo.

There's no salvation for this post, no redemption. I'm just waiting for Godot. You?

God, I'm dying here. 3 more hours of work tonight, at least.

Somebody pass me a beer and a Cohiba.

Withering. Need massive caffeine fix. Whimper. Whimper.

ChicagoHH - Sorry about that. Yes, I've now had my 4 hour nap and feel, well, still a bit foggy. Back to the rat race.

Wizard - Good point. I've gone and done a foul thing. The blossom is off and I've done it.

Does this mean that I'll forever be known as the one who deflowered WW?

There used to be a number of critical reviews at Alexa, but they've all disappeared. Most of the negative comments were centered around the enforcing of the posting policies. Unfortunately, all of the good reviews went with the bad.

Hey no fair- first it was I not wizard who pointed out how you where scumbagging WW's reputation, secondly it would have been amusing for the only thing about WebmasterWorld sucking being in WebmasterWorld. Webmasterworld.com sucks but does WebmasterWorld suck? Webmasterworld sucking is not a bad thing if only webmaster world sucks. The sucky thing about webmasterworld sucks is how much it doesn't suck.
