Deleting spam is artcrime!

Reading through some of the autogenerated garbage text in a spam e-mail today, the similarities struck me between this and the cut up [reitzes.com] technique used by William burroughs to write "Naked Lunch", "the Lost Boys" etc.

Here we are, moaning about spam and trying to find ways to combat it, when really we should be embracing spam! It's high art!

I'm thinking about organising an exhibition of spam emails for, lets see, the Tate Modern would probably be the best place. If I was still at art college I could base my entire final year around it.

So stop deleting spam you philistines! That's art you're throwing away!

I'm going to get unimaginably rich selling spam emails to art collectors, and spend the rest of my days lounging around on a chaise longue wearing a fedora and smoking gitanes through a very, very long cigarette holder.

Or maybe I'll just set some of them to a tune and make millions that way like David Bowie did, and spend the rest of my days getting hair cuts I'm really too old for.

I was going to immortalize all those nigerian/philipino incredible offerings, I was collecting them for a while, they are so creatively worded it seems a shame to just let them fade away, haven't done that yet, but I have a fair number saved.
