I'm thinking buying an apple pc and i'm wondering if windows apllications can be installed on an apple computer. For example if a game that is made for windows like UT2004 can be played on Mac OS X .

Yes you can, but you will have to instal an emulation software to do so. Since the game will run on top of emulated Windows in OS X would will be very disapointed with the speed.

UT2004 can be played on Mac OS X
This particular application is available as a native Mac OS X app. ( You'll get better performance running the mac version on a mac than emulating the pc version. )
