With the closing of our chicken and waffles [webmasterworld.com] restaurant in Cleveland, I've been looking for other tasty alternatives.

[nydailynews.com...]

But the so-called Zillion Dollar Frittata is apparently no ordinary omelet, consisting, as it does, of a mix of eggs, lobster and lots of caviar. It's so exclusive, so spectacular and so expensive that ... nobody's ordered one yet.

The supersize version of the frittata boasts 10 ounces of the pricey caviar. Along with its $1,000 price tag comes a written challenge on the menu: "Norma dares you to expense this."

Ahhh.... see, I saw the word "Omelet" and I thought, "How ridiculous!" But, it's not an omelet at all, it's a frittata, so there you go!

Never tried caviar myself, but at the prices they charge for it, I can't imagine it's worth it. The fish eggs at my local sushi place are much more economical, and a lot less salty (from what I've heard).

For $1000, they could at least add a sliced truffle or two.

closing of our chicken and waffles restaurant <

Closed? Really? You would think that chicken and waffles would be huge sellers......jeeez with all the demand you figure that a line would form every night.

We need to get into that business.

I saw it on Regis & Kelly the other day. It looked tasty, but not a $1000 tasty.

I've had gold plated sushi that cost a lot less than that!

That's terrible news though Jake. I guess you weren't fulfilling your job as Cleveland's head chicken and waffles ambassador.

Somewhat out there.. but you aren't just trying to get WW #1 for chicken and waffles [google.com] by dropping links are you? ;)

Notice the article didn't mention whether he actually liked the omlette -- err, frittata -- much less whether he thought it was worth the money... ;)
