Eurovision Song Contest [news.bbc.co.uk].

How many 12 points were awarded to non-neighbouring countries? Not many...

Yeah, it's all changed now that the public vote. They don't have a clue! Ireland will probably never win again. Not that I care really, the Eurovision is so cheesy!

Even though it is cheesy, I want to go on record saying that I can't believe Norway was, yet again, the only country not to rack up a single, solitary, point. It's rigged I tell you, rigged! ;)

We had a five person sweepstake and I had my pound on Cyprus. I still won, 'cuz the Cypriot girl's song still came in higher than Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Poland, which my mates were betting on.

But when I took the fiver to the offy - I had to run up Muswell hill, is that a prize? - I was just in time to miss licensing hours!

So instead, I bought some of Mr. Kipling's Apple Pies and after all the grolsch we'd been gettting through they tasted exceedingly good.

I think Germany should have won. A nice jazz groove that was even enjoyable..

yep, GERMANY! :)

In my ranking Sweden won the contest. The reasons are pretty obvious if you look at it closely. ;)

Cheers Shak - that must have been after I turned it off in frustration. :)

I think Turkey should have won again with their madness-esque song - totally different from last year's effort.

My Eurovision party was a success - I know that because on Sunday morning I had a sore head and my flat looked like a tip :)

I will agree that the voting was a bit odd and I can't help feeling that we deserved a few points more than we got. Perhaps Eurovision has had it's heyday?

their madness-esque song

It was very pseudo-ska, wasn't it?
