Is it a linear actuator?

I am sorry, but I don`t really know what a linear actuator is.

It doesn't look portable. I'm assuming that it stays in one place.

then I guess it's not a linear actuator ;-)

not necessarily. You would use it in just one place, but it can easily be transported to the next.

encyclo: already had mine, thanks ;-)

SlowMove was already headed in the right direction. Just guess what it would be used for (not very hard)

It's got to be for gas or liquid. I'll guess gas.

I just found out, it is not just used for one substance, but rather for almost any liquid. So how about we declare SlowMove as the winner, since he guessed pump in the first place?

Congrats!

It is a centrifugal pump, mainly used to pump groundwater for example up to the ground.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to host the quiz next week. If anyone would like to host it, you should have plenty of time to prepare. Sorry.
