Notable inclusions:

Google for Best Practices and Services
Teoma for Technical Achievement

The BBC website also has nominations for several subsections including Sport, Science & Nature, News (twice) and its Human Body part. Impressive stuff.

Aljazeera.net also nominated in the News category.

Google for best practices?

I used to think that myself... after seeing the recent patent fillings, terms of services based on there adsense network as well as the risky gmail it just seems like they're gearing up to be another corporate mongoloid like amazon.com and restrict people from competing by playing the patent game.

Is the exposure of this causing some nominated sites to fall over? I can't look at engrish.com today, and I looked at it a few days ago. It's annoying, I could do with some amusement right now.
