Beware orders to strip search strangers

Many U.S. restaurants have been receiving phone calls from a man posing as a police officer demanding that the manager detain and strip search employees and even customers who might have stolen cash or drugs on them.

In one case a young manager actually did a body cavity search of a female employee on instructions from the caller.

This has been going on for several years. Lawyers are standing by. Gives new meaning to the word "dumb."

So if the Taco Bell guy demands to cavity search you, just say no.

This story smells like a hoax itself, especially since it burst forth around April 1st. But the story is all over the web so It Must Be True. :)

WHy do people fall for this kind of stunt?

I feel real bad for the poor 17 yr old who had to strip. How humiliating.

It's probabally some weird perv who can only get off on making people do awful things.
