Anyway not to set a default email address?

I use Outlook to control my life (and somedays it controls me). I use a lot of email accounts, and I was wondering if there is a way to not set a default email account so I can't accidently send an email using the wrong account.

Or, is there a way to set a default email account by folder, say I'm in folder x, then it uses email x, and if I'm in folder y, then it uses email y?

Thanks.

Im also interested - sorry not hijacking the thread but..
if the answer to the above is no then;

any better email clients that would allow this but still come with the same functionality as Outlook?

never used outlook, but can you simply fool it and put a bad smtp outgoing on your 'default' account, so it fails to send when you hit it?

One option would be to setup a dummy mail account, set that as the default, but disable the send/receive option for that account.
