I guess CNN is trying to take market share from USA Today with this story:

A woman who answered the phone at the jail said she did not know if Pike has a lawyer.

Or how she will be paying the lawyer...

So you try to pay with a $1 million bill and they jail you?
Jeez, these people have no sense of humor. ;)

See, U.S. currency really does need to be in different colors. She probably thought it was a ten.

U.S. Teasury v. Love22

Love22 (which is his legal name) was arrested for selling his $22 bills...

browse: <http://love22.com/trial.htm>

I know "Love", met him back in the 80's... I've got a couple of the bills around here somewhere.

Did she really think there's a Wal-Mart employee capable of making change on a million dollars? I've had issues getting change off of a twenty dollar bill!

I believe a few of the Waltons could make that change.

If she thought the bill was real, why didn't she go pay cash for a house or a car?

OH... never mind. If she thought the bill was real, she wouldn't have the processor power to make a good decision like that.

Sad thing is that her husband is a coin collector and bought the bills as a gag...

The best part is that they wouldn't take it and THEN she asked them to change it.

"Mam, this is fake."

-"Well, Can I have some real ones in exchange for it?"

If you are fortunate enough to have a million dollar bill.. (let alone 3 of them).. Why are you going to be shopping at walmart? And how can anyone honestly think that trying to shop with a million dollar bill wouldn't get unwanted attention?

I would say this woman was on drugs.. I just have trouble believing that someone that is able to establish bipedal movement could think this would work...

She must have had the same economics lecturer in college as me... "You don't become rich by making money, you become rich by saving it".

I don't see why the store gave her a hard time. The clerk could have easily found the change in Monopoly sets from the toy department.

>One Million Dollar Note <

originally sold by a Canadian firm for $1.00 each as a collectible item.

I figured we must have had a hand in this.
