I searched google and yahoo but nothing that's worth something came up...

I wanna learn more about how and what they do to get in to sites, computers to take counter measures. My built in firewall does not seem to help. :(

a well configured firewall and secure servers (if you need to run them) are all you need to counteract any hackers. It's never a bad idea to have a hardware firewall running at the edge of your network.

I can highly recommend grc.com as a good information source, and their 'shields up' application as a good tester for your ports. Not the best web design, but great tools.

how big is a big stick? you going after the NSA or a nosey neighbor?

doesnt sound so much like you want to protect your computer anymore, and hence, we walk into the TOS wall. no illegal activity to be discussed.

BlackListed!411 is another magazine along with Binary Revolution.

For news in the underground check hackwire, for exploits to see what is new out there check out packetstorm. and to follow up on security read bugtraq mailing list. for Macintosh read securemac and for mac hacking read freak's macintosh archives ;)

An interesting site if you want to learn how they use search engines to hack. If you can get through it.

Completely disagree! Every security system can be hacked. Maybe with a firewall and a secure server you are 99.999% protected, but there is still a chance of 0.001% of being hacked. And, as Murphy said: If something can fail, it'll fail
So as more security you have, better. But you have also to care if your security costs are worth of what you are trying to protect.

Heh?

How to use Google to hack [johnny.ihackstuff.com]

See also The perils of Googling [theregister.co.uk]

Both are actually interesting reads if you are interested in security.
