Are Mozilla, and Mozilla Firefox different?

When looking at sitse they appear the same

Is the only difference between Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox their layout?

Or is it more than just skin deep?

Yes, they are essentially completely different. However, sites appear the same since they both use the Gecko rendering engine (which is why sites look the same in Netscape as well)...

I believe that Mozilla has additional features like email, a news reader(?), etc., while Firefox is just a browser.

I've only recently started using firebird / firefox and don't think I can go back to IE. I just love the tabbed browsing too much :)
