What is everyone using for spy/ad ware dection. I am using S&D primarily because it is free but wanted to know if there are better apps out there

S&D is good, so is ad-aware

I don't know if it's the best, but I've been using a cocktail of Spybot, Hijack This and Ad Adaware... oh, and Norton for the typical email-virus payloads.

I agree with Shannon. There is not really one software you could call the best, it is better to use a mix. I use a combination of Symantec, Adaware and Spybot.
