But which one?

Hi never posted a FOO before, but i guess this is where this belongs.

As a 'beginner' webmaster i have just about got myself set up to begin earning some money :-)

The latest thing i've acquired is my new Expresso/Cappacino(?)/Coffee maker.

Im very pleased with it except after going to purchase some of the keep-awake drug i found the selection to be vast.

As professional and p/t webmasters do you have any suggestions to give me that extra webmaster edge?

Cheers

For espresso you need:

Lavazza - Crema & Gusto. (Italian espresso ground coffee) or dark roasted Highland Bali Coffee.

A double espresso keeps you ahead of most competitors, no doubt!

For Cappuchino I prefer lighter roasted highland coffee, preferably Bali, Jamaica or Kenya.

In both cases Coffee of the Arabica sort is best.

My suggestion? Forget the coffee, that stuff is disgusting... drink Mountain Dew instead.

I second the Jamaican Blue Mountain. Expensive, but yummy.

Roast your own. Adjust as needed. Or Peet's - they generally ship a day after roasting.

For my espresso machine (Nespresso C190), I use Nespresso pods and love them. I went to CoffeeFest and tried lots of different kinds of espresso and was surprised to find that I liked the Nespresso pods best. Plus, they're easy to use and easy to clean up. It'll do until I get my dream machine - [capresso.com...]

Buy your own, buy it green. Toast it (don't burn it!) until you hear one crack - that's wussy coffee (the weak stuff you get in U.S. diners) ;-] When you hear a second crack, you've got yourself french roast.

Grind, press and run, enjoy.

Lavazza - Crema & Gusto. (Italian espresso ground coffee) or dark roasted Highland Bali Coffee.

The above is very good.

Having been to France, they make great coffee. Jump the pond and buy some of theirs.

And then there's Mozilla coffee... if you're a webmaster that likes standards-compliance ;)

unfortunately not fairly traded :( but hey, you can't always have it all.

Jamaican Blue Mountain

Anyone tell me if that's available in the UK - and if so, where?

I'm a Lavazza user, but this one sounds like it's definitely worth a go.

Earl Grey, stewed for 10 mins with a slice of lemon - whoah!

(Hey, the only coffee I get in the office is Nescafé, with Soya milk because of the strange diets ranging the office :s)

Love illy espresso coffee, imho the best one, not rough as some other beans. Make me feel like being "down there" in Italy... :)

I think most specialist coffee retailers carry it.

Kenya AA....the stuff is great!
Kona seems to give me a stronger jolt but the flavor is not as good.

My Italian espresso ratings:

Lavazza: s***s.
Illy: quite good.
Lino's: absolutely superb. (Too bad you don't have that in the USA! :P)

PS: Cappuccino, not 'cappacino' or 'cappuchino'. :)

Lino's

Never heard of it. Is it available in normal shops in Italy? Will go there in 5 days.
