Last time there were hundreds as excited as me, but no-one seems bothered this time :(
Anybody ready to burst because the wait is too much?
I think Reloaded was vastly misunderstood and people are too busy getting over it to truly comprhend the greatness that is the Matrix! :)
I won't give away any information or ruin the movie for anyone...but I will say this:
The movie is very, very good. It does a great job of bringing everything together.
Im glad that there are a few folks who share my excitement.
Glad to hear that this film rocks, i watched an interview with laurence fishburne this morning and he said that too, but he would do wouldnt he! ;)
No doubt I'll get round to watching it in the end.
Reloaded, the second movie, was a setup for the Revolutions, the last in the trilogy.
I personally wasn't disappointed by Reloaded....it just got me excited for Revolutions.

I think the main problem is that it was hyped as a mainstream movie. But it isn't...
Exactly! There is no doubt Reloaded and Revolutions could have been made into your typical bog standard matcho-man, predictable, action fest easily digestable by all. It would have been more popular with the public and critics.
Thankfully they didnt - they (wachowskis) made the film they wanted to make and not the film the public wanted them to make :)

And I never thought of the movie as SiFi! I thought it was a brilliant mix of action and philosophy that I've never seen before. I mean, the movie made we think and feel different afterwards. Yet it was also fast, entertaining, great outfits, cool soundtrack, and it just had attitude, ya know?
Anyways, I'm going on Saturday night, can't wait to see how it all turns out....
It's still a requirement that you see it - you have to see how it all wraps up - but it's just nowhere near as good as it could have been.
I agreed very much with the Wired [wired.com] reporter who had this to say about the movie:
The Matrix Revolutions is no masterpiece. It lacks the depth of the first movie and undoes the logic of the second film. Still, if all that doesn't trouble you, having your senses bombarded by special effects and action sequences isn't a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
By the 20th time I saw the Matrix, it was obvious it was one of my fav movies of all time that ranks right up there with the classics like Forbidden Planet and The Day The Earth Stood Still.
I thought Reloaded was poor the first time I saw it, but the second time was excellent. The thrid time, it got worse again, so I've not risk watching it again.
I thought Revolutions was mediocure the first time I saw it last night. It's a video game setup. Obivously the brothers had run out of ideas by the third in the plot.
The creative genius that was the first 30mins of The Matrix, could not be sustained for 2.75 more movies.
All-in-all, lets be honest shall we? This movie was a Tron rip - Tron 2.0 if you will.
So, I will wait for this turnip to fill the video store shelves before I see it.

P.S. "Cool Hand Luke" is fine on my TV screen...
As a character neo does not evolve at all. The trainstation, which could have been a great short film if done differenctly, ends up being a complete cop out.
I hear the animatrix blows away matrix II and matrix III. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
Another tip to any potential viewers. DO NOT WATCH the movie in IMAX. The action sequences are too fast and complicated I guess for an Imax screen.
It might have been good if they were planning Part 4,5,6 etc.
Who says there won't be? They left it wide open for future movies. The Wachowski brothers, and Keanu Reeves, have stated that they are done with it.....but it is still a possibility. I personally think it would be foolish not to make at least one or two more to answer some of the questions that Revolutions left unanswered.
Until now the first one had been my fave, Revolutions is more then the first in every sense, more plot, action, characters etc.
Of course you do need to use your brain to really appreciate just how utterly amzing the trilogy has been and thats what most people seem to miss. shame :(
This third episod seems to be a 2.30 hour ending for the first two. The way I see it is that the second episod would have been too long if they had decided to do a proper ending, so they just created a third episod that don't bring nothing much but just takes half of your afternoon to end.
All in all I was very disapointed
