I have a need to buy a cigar for a fat friend of mine but I dont smoke so I know nothing about them.

Remembering that I am in the UK what advice would you give me.

I know DG smokes them as I have seen many mentions of them in his posts. So I should get at least one answer. :)

Cheers

Buying a cigar for a friend can be difficult if you don't know what his tastes are, but it's hard to go wrong with a Siglo IV or if he's a good friend, a Fuente Fuente OpusX.

Some friends call me fat,

but I do not mind if they pass me a:

P.G.C. Hajenius Grand Finale No1

but then I'm a biased Dutchman.

Real Havannas can be far superior, but I often find it can take a near vacuum leading to dizzyness to get in the smoke.

>>Cohiba

There's Cohiba Red Dots, (Dominican Republic), excellent cigars, then there's Cuban Cohibas, like the Siglo IV, then there's those other Dominican Cohibas that are made to look like the Cuban variety and those simply aren't any good.

But Yidaki is on the money, Red Dots and the Cuban, or ISOM Cohibas are excellent.

My personal Choice would be a Cohiba Robusto (Cuban), 2nd place goes to Ramon Allones Specialy Selected (Cuban). Both are full bodied robusto sized cigars. If you want a larger cigar get a Montecristo #2 (Cuban) or any size Trinidad.

I only know of cigars that skinny people would enjoy, sorry.

Well... in my price range I like the La Gloria Cubana Medail D'oro #2s in a Maduro wrapper. But if I could afford a Cohiba Red Dot I'd buy one of those instead.

Hm, if you'd mean people with skinny heads, i'd ask you: so what?! And i'd suggest you'd better put your feet under your arms and start running before you'd give the wrong answer... >:)
