OK

I have been give the task of sorting out the music for a kids halloween party and apart from "Monster Mash" I'm completely stumpded.

At the moment every thing I come up isn't really suitable and will probably terrify the little uns - I mean can you imagine playing Pass The Parcel to the theme from John Carpenter's Halloween!

Anybody got any suggestions of some spooky kids favourites?

lorax, the kids are all about 2-5 years old - an impressionable age - so I don't think too many of the suggestions so far will go down too well with the kidlets (or their parents!).

graywolf, thanks, I'll take a look at that - it's a while since I saw the movie but there should be something suitable.

Fruit_and_Veg, doh! I really should have got thriller!

All those moon songs from "An American Werewolf in London" - Bad Moon Rising, Moondance, Blue Moon.

Midnight Hour by Wilson Pickett.

Ghostbusters

Themes from Scooby Doo, Casper, The Addams Family.

Thriller

(Don't Fear) The Reaper

I Put a Spell on You (Nina Simone or others)

Time Warp

Love Potion #9

Most of these are quite poppy and should work for kids.

Me, I'd have John Otway's "Beware of the Flowers (because I think they're out to get you)" ;)
