I just have to get this off my chest before I do someone an injury :) I spent a bit of time today looking for something on the www, as you do on a boring Saturday afternoon .... What I was looking for was quite a rare type of perfume for a friend's birthday. Anyway, 99% of the sites I pulled on Google were those 'shopping mall' type sites, not sure what they are actually called but I think you know what I mean, lots and lots of links of all kinds all shopping related. I won't click on anything on them - in my experience, quite a lot of bogus sites, full of pop-ups and dead links. What is it with these mall sites? It was so hard to pick out the'legitimate' sites that I gave up in the end.

What the Foo is going on with these sites? I think they are an abomination. Am I alone?

Ah, feel better now.

Cheers

I don't even generally notice shopping mall sites. Maybe you need to redefine your search more if you're running into them. A few years ago they were a big thing, so lots of people started them, but not a lot of people kept them updated, so they litter the landscape occasionally.

If I'm looking for something specific, I usually do a Google search and if that doesn't turn anything up, try Yahoo Shopping. You'd be surprised at what some of those little stores sell.

Yes. I admit it. I shop. I shop online. I can find just about anything. It's almost a sickness, really. ;)
