It's a pair of tweezers designed to fit into tight spaces.

Much more specific purpose. You are heading down the right path though.

No wait a minute - it's the device Kirk used to get the thingy out of Chekov's ear in The Wrath of Kahn.

Wait a minute - it's both the device Kirk used AND mivox's latest earring.

Mack.

Mack.

Something a jeweler would use?
8:15 pm on Oct 11, 2003 (gmt 0)
Are the Scientific, Technical or Cosmetic in use?
8:15 pm on Oct 11, 2003 (gmt 0)
A jeweler could use it, but so could any one else. It was not designed for the jeweler/jewelry making industry.

Are the Scientific, Technical or Cosmetic in use?
Actually none of these. Well maybe a mix of technical/cosmetic. Somewhat medical. You do not need to be a doctor or a paramedic to use.

Locking tweezers.........kinda like vice grips.
8:24 pm on Oct 11, 2003 (gmt 0)
Loking tweezers...somewhat...but they are designed for a specific purpose. The title of this gizmo does not have "tweezer" in it.
Think of some of the different tasks tweezers are used for.

I think they are used for squeezing spots :)
Place the jaw end over the spot, hold it at the loop and draw the black part down to squeze all the poison out :)
Mack.
