So we were buying a chained ssl cert for our dev servers and in the authentication process it does phone verification.

You click "Place call now" and it calls you. The script is on the screen with an auth num and you do all the things it asks.

When you hang up, the site refreshes and takes you to the next step.

That was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

I got one - not as cool from a tech point tho - I was signing up for a new hosting company and they do a phone verification of your cc. I clicked the 'call me' button and the phone rang almost instantly with a real live person on the other end. I was blown away.

Things have changed a lot in that market place much swifter you just don't feel handcuffed to the page anymore.
