This is a bit of a shot in the dark.

I am trying to put a footer in at the bottom of every page that displays the total amount from one of the columns. So that when a page is printed the page total is displayed in the footer. The spreadseet is over 50 pages so I do not want to have to do it manually + the document changes regularly.

Do you think this is possible?

Using Excel 2000 Professional

Excel will allow you to specify that certain row(s) appear at the top of each page, or that certain column(s) appear at the left side of each page, but I do not believe you can put a sum in a footer.

From Excel 2000 help file:

You cannot insert graphics or cell references in a header or footer.

Sorry.

Thanks

I will experiment with that. I thought it was a long shot.
