I say it's the Cubbies and BoSox, any comments?

I made this call to some buddies a few months back. It was sort of a joke then, and I laughed with them.

Now I have to wonder. Boston can beat the Yankees, there is no question. Chicago can (and IMO will) beat Florida. I am a lifelong Yankees fan, and root AL in the WS. If it is a Sox-Cubbies WS, I might have to root Cubbies just for pities sake.

I've been rooting for the Cubs all year. Harry Carry deserves it. ;) I can almost hear a voice from on high chanting, Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win!

Did any of you watch the Red Sox game last night?! That was an incredible game! The Red Sox-Yankees series is going to be great.

They can take that Bambino curse and......

Yep, Yankees haven't been overpowering against the Sox this year. But now that the post season is here I've got to give the Yanks the edge.

>>If it is a Sox-Cubbies WS, I might have to root Cubbies

Amen. Will be bad enough if the Sox beat the Yanks in the ALCS, if they win the Series we'll never hear the end of it.

Ya, agerhart I watched it. What a great game, I was sooo nervous after those 2 walks! I'm a lifelong Twins fan, but the Red Sox have been my other favorite team for the last 5 years. Love Fenway, best ballpark I've been to. And Pedro is my favorite player in baseball:)

It will almost be worth the Twins losing, if the Red Sox can take it to the Yankees. Please! Especially if it's my boy Pedro winning the deciding game. Plus I gotta root for the ex-twins on your roster, Ortiz and Walker.

Prediction: Yankees vs Cubs (but I hope I'm wrong)

You're right about that! I have reserved the evening, waffling between couch / bar with BIG screen - a win against Pettite tonight would be a great thing for the Sox.

Don't think so. The Yanks played a good game, and they won...but the Sox made a bunch of mistakes. Wait for Saturday, when Pedro is back on the mound......Sox will take it on Saturday!

Yah, you may be right...but as a pigheaded Yankees fan, I'm gonna say it goes to the bullpen's. We all know who that favors

Wells vs. D-Lowe tonight!

I don't think anyone who watched these two teams play through the regular season thought there would be any kind of a sweep.

19 games, Yankees won 10 of those, barely.

What is scary, is that I think right now the Cubbies could beat either one of these guys. Time to cash out the retirement fund, because it is then end of the world as we know it.

That's right is starts with a Cubs game, aeroplanes, Lenny Bruce is not afraid

This just in....

The Cubs are going to lose tonight, lose tomorrow and miss the World Series.

They will go 27-135 next year. Dusty Baker will be fired and replaced by minor league coaches. And the Cubs will still draw 3,000,000 fans.
