Why do Americans, say Walla? I thought it was Voila? (french) - Or does Walla have some other meaning?

Because some Americans don't know that it's French.

voilą....

second person singular imperative of voir (to see)....lą, (there).

voilą = "to see there"...or "there it is"...or "here it is".
