Coffee is good. A judge said so.

Italian thumbs up.

BBC Story [news.bbc.co.uk].

(Hmmm - people here need an excuse to stop work and chat for a bit? Don't make me laugh.)

I have not drunk coffee for well over a year and I always find an excuse to stop and post (not sure what chat is ;))

whoa!

"A high coffee consumption is five or seven cups a day, but instead, a regular coffee consumption of no more than three cups a day can be a protective factor for colon cancer and liver cirrhosis for example," she said.

i used to drink 5 to 7 pots of coffee a day... can't have more than one or two cups, these days... get the shakes even smelling it, sometimes ;) that was at work, 6 days a week, writting database code... oldstyle stuff like dbase III and foxbase before m$ got their mitts on it... this was, oh, about 14 or 15 years ago...

it appears the article is somewhat in humour with factual content... again... whoa! just thinking about it...

I am currently drinking more coffee than that.
I also drink a lot of water. It is important with quality
stuff when you want to do quality work.

Never trust a coder high on coke.

yeah, i never was one to drink much water... back in those days, after the coffee, i was at home for the night, working on the BBS and chatting and then it was generally beer... at least a 6pack if not more and then coffee in the morning to get going again and go all day long... pepsi, coke, mountain dew, or dr pepper soda with lunch or dinner sometimes... if dinner was at a place where they served drinks instead of just beverages, you can believe that it was a drink... glad i'm out of that lifestyle... way too stressful and i stayed too wound up from the caffiene... no way i'd ever have been able to operate in that environment without it, though :( on the one hand, i'm glad to have had the experiance, on the other, i hate that i put up with it all...

Y'all just like bathroom breaks or something. Gawd I could never drink that much liquid in a day. Hmm, how many pots into a 2 liter? On rare occasion for intense coding sessions I can drink a 2 liter of diet soda (in a 14 hour day).
