'Passings" are sometimes sad, sometimes glad and sometimes irrelevant. Sorry to say, I never heard of Robert Palmer until now.
My nephew (aged 31 who had Lou Gehrig's disease) died yesterday. As far as I am concerned, it was a "glad" event. Sad for the family to be sure, but glad for him that it is finally over. It was a long, slow and very painful death.
There is good and bad to all things. I was very glad to have made it to my milestone birthday. I was sad to have killed the goat. I am very sad that I will not be able to speak to my nephew again. I am glad he is out of his pain.
Each was a natural event and each had zero impact on the world as a whole. Life goes on ...
I hope Robert Palmer is in a better place!
