Ok.. So i was having a nostalgia conversation today and the Flying Toasters screensaver came up. I remember putting AfterDark on my old Macintosh Performa 630. I was wondering if there was anywhere I could find a version of the Flying Toasters for my PC. People would double take at the workplace once again.

Holy crap... I totally forgot about those.

Remember the mime hunt one? Totally twisted screensavers I think they were called.

I have not used a screensaver since windows 95 came out and had the low power standby.

Thanks bcolflesh.. I also found something interesting.. The After Dark X project. There are new versions of the classic After Dark screen savers, including Toasters in Space. But sadly it is only for OS X. One more reason for me to switch back to Mac. ;-)

Yes Werty, I had the Totally Twisted After Dark on my old Mac as well. There was the spin on Flying Toasters called Flying Toilets.. Complete with occupant and sound effects. I also seem to remember some kinda of bungee one where the cord was sometimes too long....

It seems like this should be easier than it is to find.

Unless somebody here has a quicker solution, you might try Midnight Software, Inc. They say they were a major contributor during the design and development of Berkeley Systems' After Dark Screen Saver.

Or drop them a note and see if they have any ideas...

They have the "Flying Toilets" available for windows download, but don't see anything on the toasters.
