Oddly enough, I am part of the: "flat on the tummy with the hands at the sides of the head, is the most unusual position. Only 6.5 percent of people prefer it and they are usually brash and gregarious."

These types of studies make me laugh. I mean what is the point? Why does it matter if there is any correlation to how you sleep and what your personality is like?

Do people feel like they really don't know what kind of personality they have? And if they read this they'll get the answer? Or do people think that they're really 'outgoing' and they just like to see it confirmed?

The sad thing is, this thread caught my attention and I read the article even though I know how silly it is;)

Apparently my wife is brash and gregarious... Which would be news to her, as she normally needs encouragement to say "boo" to a mouse... ;-)

As for me... I'm not mentioned - I sleep in the recovery position (on my front, slightly on one side, arm "behind" me straight down my back, other arm folded under my chest)... Guess I must be scared about dying in my sleep... Probably won't help my passengers though ;-P

Oh, and I switch back and forth from spread eagle on my back and the fetal position. Which I guess woudld explain my split personality.

on tummy means I'm brash and gregarious huh? I guess it has nothing to do with older brother and sister tormenting me while napping? no wonder I protect my face by sleeping on my stomach! ;) Nothing to do with my friend's slip disk that makes her sleep fetal or else back pain ensues?

these studies are ridiculous. The never look for the simple reasons.

According to a telly report that's a new Chic Hype in Japan. They say even Managers do it. Maybe takagi likes to comment? Or is he sporting currently ...? LOL. :D

ritualcoffee, pictures are quite international. Wait for the pictures to load - then watch (be careful not to pee). What you'll see is: people are taking pictures of themselfs in positions like they were dead. The strangest "dead position" wins. Don't know wins what, though. :)

my favorite is the manager in his office and the guy in the washing machine.

I'm usually a mixture of side and back.

But probably most comfortable sitting in the upright position, using the steering wheel as a pillow.
