Lotus Application help

getting rid of "recent files" list, or whatever it's called

As a geek, I get tech support calls from family and friends. Unfortunately, I don't always have the answer, usually when I don't have the application.
My Dad continues to use Lotus word processing and spreadsheet applications at his office. He and his computer were audited by "home office" and there were files that needed to be removed from his computer. He did that, but they persist in the drop-down "recent files" list. Does anyone know how to get rid of those files?
I know in MS Office, you can change how many recently used files will show, but I don't have anything form Lotus to even look at. I'm not sure what version he's using, but could find out if it would help!

In Lotus 123 (spreadsheet) go to File > User Setup > 123 Preferences and change the number at 'Number of recent files to show'

In WordPro go to File > User Setup > Word Pro Preferences and change the number at 'Number of recent files'

Hope this helps, if not it will be a case of editiong the Registry keys for Lotus MRUs.

Thanks! That does help, I'll let Dad know about that option. The other thing that occurred to me later was that he could open enough valid files to run those off the list.
