I just got a spam mail (I think it's spam).

From: SmallBusinessNewz
Subject: Will The Google Adsense Program Survive?

When I try to open it - Outlook Express just closes (crashes) without saying a word. I can't even delete it! As soon as I select it, Outlook dies.

Did anyone else get it?

P.S. While writing this, I came up with the solution how to delete it. I will create a filter rule to delete e-mails with this subject and run it against that folder. :)

Do you have auto-preview on? (The pane that shows the email). If you do, I recommend you switch it off - this is how so may virus's exploit Outlook and Outlook Express - you are actually opening the email in the preview pane by right-clicking it and selecting delete!

There is a few well known html form coding error that can do this. It effects all internet explorer products. Microsoft said they will fix them in the next version.

The code to do it is about 3 lines long.. (I will not post it.)

Things I would try to fix it are:
filter rules
no auto-preview
view text only (not even html if you can)
use external program / or email client plugin
(some programs out there will disable all scripts and even html in outlook/outlook express)
