G'day folks,

Due to a fit of madness last week the onus has fallen on me to host the Gizmo Quiz this weekend. I am however having trouble trying to figure out an appropriate time that will suit the majority of members.

I've just moved from one side of the planet to the other so I'm having trouble knowing what day it is let alone what hour it is in other countries. Werty, who hosted it last time, said last week it would be at 1pm Central Standard Time.

According to the internet (so it must be true) CST is UTC minus 6 hours. I'm in UTC plus 1 hour, but last week I recall playing the game in the afternoon my time - which would have been very early in the morning CST time. Not 1pm. Hence my confusion (perhaps I'm getting the abbreviations wrong).

Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

Think the game was played around 1 CST last week. I remember because I thin I just finished all of my chores when I tuned in just a bit late.

I've had to miss it the past few weeks but it does seem like it's usually played during prime time daylight hours in the States.

Just an idea, but as this is the long Labor Day holiday weekend here in the States -- and only fools like me will be sitting in front of a machine -- it might not be a bad idea to host it a time more convenient for those members on the other side of the pond.

I'm CST and it was played at 1:00 p.m. last week. I'm open, and plan to participate - as long as we're not talking wee hours of the morning...
