I had an idea to submit your site to site's that do "reviews" on websites...

And thought it might be cool to hear what people think of your site, maybe ways to improve it, and also as a bonus maybe bring some traffic to your site...

But anyone know of any sites that do reviews like this?

No, I ment submit to a site that does site reviews, as a feature of there site... Not email sites asking for them to review it. :)

Are you thinking of adding that to a site of your own? I'd say it depends on how many online casino and pharmacy sites you're prepared to review per hour.

There are a few reputable consumer review sites out there that do site reviews. Generaly they add you, although I dare say you could suggest your site. I had one of my sites added to quite a well known UK consumer site last year and to be honest I have yet to see my first referal.

It has however received two great reviews. Errr written by me.

I'm with you - all we're saying is that such a site would simply be inundated with trash trying to plug their site - they wouldn't be interested in your service at all.

The example I gave in Message #3 and the kind of businesses Marcia is referring to in Message #5 are the sort of submission you would have to deal with!

Speaking of the seedier side of this discussion... online casinos, online pharmacies, fake viagra, etc... I wonder if you could make some cash selling them reviews for a small fee? Say $5.00?

LOL. Maybe, do you think they could be trusted to make a valid payment; or would it be chargeback central?

these types of sites do exist

I used to use one some years ago .. it was a do a critique and earn points to get to the top of the list of sites to get critiqued next .... it was quite fun .. though some lost their rags when you told them their sites were rubbish :-) anyhow that one stopped .. but there are still plenty out there ...
