Allright, so as we all have witnessed the gizmo quiz seems to have fallen apart over the last couple of weeks.

The purpose of this post is to A) remind people that it still is going on, B) find out who is hosting the quiz, C) remind people of the rules involved, such as posting the time 24 hours in advance and D)have a quiz this week(I miss it).

This is the Official Scoreboard:
[vif.com...]

where I stole the The Gizmo Quiz Rules:

1. It must be about some gizmo.
2. The game must be confirmed by it's host 24 hours in advance.
3. The game must be posted when it is Saturday somewhere on Earth.
4. The current winner must have priority on hosting the next game.
5. If the winner declines to host the next game, the current host should pick which volunteer (within prior participants of the Gizmo Quiz) will host the next game.
6. Of course, no one can be forced to host the Gizmo Quiz.
7. The first player to get 10 points wins the Platinum Geek Award (whatever that is... ) All scores will reset to zero, and we begin a new contest.

Usually when we post the time of the quiz this site is used so we all know, regardless of geographic location, the start time:

Looking foward to playing...

Well werty, I suggest that you volunteer to host the next game, so tax1dr1ver could choose you as a replacement host.

Or could tax1dr1ver host the game this week?

Yes, werty - please, I NEED a gizmo quiz this week. This has been a crazy busy week - a little diversionary googling would be nice.

Looking for items now...

I think we all should have a quiz on standby Just incase someone needs to cancel.

I currently have 2.

I have to ask, what time is preffered for this? Since I like to go drinking I prefer to start it around 1pm Central time. Last time I did this there were complaints from the people overseas.

How would 11am be? or is 10am better. I am not going out this weekend since I have about 300 things to work on so this will be a nice little break.

I've given up on the quiz because it's always over by the time I get online on Saturdays... the later the better for me. :)

What is a good time for the two of you?

If I am hosting it, I am thinking maybe mid afternoon Central? Could you attend that?

Mid afternoon CST should work for me, most any time Saturday, really. I'm looking forward to it! (I'll be working on things this weekend too)

Central time? CST? What's that in term of cities (so I can look up what that would mean for me)?

As I'm in Europe, the earlier the better. I hate staying up all night and then loosing the quiz. :)

Central/CST is Chicago, or St. Louis.

How is noon [timeanddate.com] for everyone?

Still willing to adjust the time, as to get the most contestants.

Works for me, but if you need to shift it I'll be around.

We'll see what time I wake up... but moving it back at all improves my odds. ;)
