Interesting that the good-manners filter didn't zap that Alexandria, Virginia query. ;)

Great tour.

He, too, has seen the query and is typing away furiously. Finally he stops and looks up at me. "They're going to be OK. They got referred to the right places."

"You can do that?"

"Yeah, well, I can see how the system responds. And if it doesn't give the right information, I'll find better sites and attach them for future queries."

Showoff!

You know, I felt the very same way as thw writer when I first really started getting into SEM. I remember using wordtracker and thinking that I was some sort of peeping tammy. I couldn't believe the queries that were out there from search engines. What's more, I couldn't believe that people typed them in. But I suppose, in a room all alone, you assume you are alone. I sometimes wonder if people would be so free to search for certain things if they knew/thought that someone could see that query, even if it is anonomous.

I think the filter would rather have zapped the Holmdel, New Jersey query. Unless they are a vet, which I doubt.

LOL, they probably are a vet. Bet the filter got it right. Have you ever seen them artificially inseminate a horse? They use an arm condom and have to use every inch of the arm! Poor kid was probably about to de-virginize his short arm. :)

I'm trying to send Greg Rae a message:

Hey Greg Rae How's It Going Mate

:P

Go on, search it :) I've given it a few dozen clicks but he's probably in bed right now :P

Hey Greg Rae How's It Going Mate

might be better to surround it with quotes... 'It' is getting filtered... putting quotes around it returns "did not match any documents" at this time...

interesting idea, though :) think i'll keep it as a bookmark ;)

That's actually a really, really moving story.

That was a great article. I wondered how they were able to keep track of that sort of thing. I'm sure Google doesn't do this currently but I am also sure someone else does, do you think any of the search engines sell this information? You could probably get quite a few people to buy it. It doesn't seem exactly right, though.

So, Google is not 100% algo based? I was under the impression they don't hand-tweak?
