All my work is done on Windows 98 and 2000 was only installed to test it when it was just being talked about.
My question is - is there any security risk to having Windows 2000 on the same drive as Windows 98. I have never updated Windows 2000 nor does it have any Antivirus or Internet Security systems on it. However I never connect to the net using Win 2000.
Windoes 98 does have security and NAV etc installed and Win 98 is what I use to connect.
However recently have been seeing some strange behaviour and while NAV says the drive is clean as does regcleaner, AdAware and SpyBot I am still concerned. Is it possible for a virus to jump partitions like that and would there be any problems with installing NIS 2002 on the Windows 2000 part even though Win 98 has NIS 2003 installed.
Can I share a programme such as NIS 2003 over a partition?
Yes, running Windows [apple.com] is a security risk - no matter what partition it's on.
sorry, couldn't resist. :)
