However, my ultimate ambition is to get one of those super-complete dictionaries that's printed on onionskin paper, with a magnifier, and it's own heavy-duty podium stand. I just like the idea of hunching over a giant book, leafing through the pages, and scrutinizing it through a magnifier. Add in a giant stockpot of beer brewing in the fireplace, and you'd get an almost perfect alchemist/wicked witch ambience. :)
::shuffles away from the book stand & tosses a handful of fragrant green stuff into a giant kettle, stirrring quickly as the pot begins to boil over::
hehehehe
There goes the supper.......
Ick... anyone who tries to eat un-fermented beer for supper deserves whatever horrible gastrointestinal tortures it might cause. ::shudder::
If I don't feel like going to dictionary.com (or if I'm at home and not dialed-up), I'll type the word into Eudora and see if it gets the red underline treatment...
[google.com...]
now, on the blue bar on the top, there's this sentence:
>>>Searched the web for gizmo
"gizmo" is underlined. Click it. Voila - dictionary.com. Has nobody noticed this before?
