What an exciting day... Got to visit the Spammobile [spammobile] in person. Sampled a mini-Spamburger. Bought two cans of Spam with a discount coupon they were handing out and got a 1/72 replica of the Spammobile. Got some great photos of the Spammobile, me & the Spammobile, and the drivers (Spammettes?). Also won a Spam beachball for guessing one of the ingredients in Spam (I figured pork was safe. I wonder how many jokers reply, "Uhhh, cat?"). Won another little truck for guessing which state consumes the most Spam. (Hawaii... hey, at the next US Pubcon, let's play Trivial Pursuit for money... ;)) Oh, and got a Spam refigerator magnet, too. I couldn't talk them out of a hat.

Wow. Spam-o-Rama! Any Viagra dealers or Nigerians lurking around the perimeters of the festivities?

Didn't spot any of the usual suspects, mivox. One weird thing: the Spamettes seemed to think my interest in Spam was perfectly normal. They seemed happy to have someone to talk to. They weren't being deluged by spamaholics, and were probably getting bored.

Once you got past the mystery meat issue, the mini-spamburger was actually pretty good. They say McDonalds serves 'em in Hawaii.

Once you got past the mystery meat issue...

Well, it's really no more mysterious than a hot dog... But I don't eat many hot dogs either (at least the kosher ones have strict standards on their ingredients). hehehehe

Oh, but you didn't get one of the
Glow-in-the-dark boxers are white with colorful SPAMŽ luncheon meat cans silkscreened all around. SPAMŽ words glow in the dark.

from the SPAM gift shop [spamgift.com]?

<added>Mivox, if you are interested, they even have SPAM earrings [spamgift.com]:).

P.S.:Darn, never find that stupid registered trademark symbol when I need it.</added>

I dunno... This [spamgift.com] seems even more appealingly useless: A porcelain spam-can box, with a small porcelain egg (!) inside.

I think it should have a porcelain slice of spam inside, but I guess the egg will have to do.

<added>
But the REAL question is WHO will wear THIS [spamgift.com] lovely ensemble to the next PubCon?
