i have some digital audio i want to access, but it is in a .mix file and I cannot find any ways to extract the audio from this file, and i cannot find any program which will do this either, anyone know how I can get to this audio?

i recently found out that it is possibly an MS windows sound mix file...

That is a proprietary format used exclusively by MS Photodraw (which itself is no longer supported by MS).

*.mix is a format that PhotoDraw uses for still photographs. I am unaware that an audio file can be embedded or accessed through PhotoDraw.

I have PhotoDraw 2000 Version 2. When I get time, I'll look through it and see if I can find an answer for you.

i had a look on one site that states what the different extensions, applications etc. are, *.mix is either the images one, or it can be MS windows sound mix apparently.

I have never used photodraw so i am unaware of what it can do. I dont think it can access the mix file im on about, which is a sound mix. It is part of an old game called lands of lore 2.
