What have I learned?

1)Probably the most important thing that I've learned is that there is a community of great people doing the same thing, or similar :), I'm doing and being succesful at it.

2)People are willing to share, something I feel is lacking in the "real" world, even if they have never met the person they are helping.----It was nice to finally meet some of you guys/gals at PubCon.

3)Doing business on the web is not impossible, very possible and profitable actually, even if you weren't teethed on a mouse.

4)Oh Yeah and of course all the technical stuff ;)

I had the opportunity to speak to Brett briefly at PubCon and I thanked him for establishing a community that has helped, at times, to keep me in the game and would also like to thank all the members here who make up this community of professionals.

Lawman, told you I'd post in foo every once in a while.

OK. Enough sentiment back to work.

Big_Balou -- cheers on your 1-year anniversary. It's mine, too. :)

Great list of what you've learned, and I'd ditto all of them. I'd also add one thing:

* you never stop learning in this industry and the best place to stay ahead of (or occasionally catch up with) the learning curve is right here

Cheers to Brett and all at WebmasterWorld who have made this an educational year.

So much to learn, once you are here - you never leave :)

Will look forward to reading your posts next year & the year after that.

Thanks for dropping by Foo. I know this isn't your first time -- don't let it be your last.

"So much to learn, once you are here - you never leave"

Such a true statement :)

How could you leave?

even non-Webmasters would find this forum thoroughly entertaining (even if the jokes about the google dance went over their head ;) )

Niceone Big_Balou

Habby birthday! :) (or anniversary, or whateveritis) You're stuck now. Every month you stick around here, the addiction grows exponentially stronger... after 11 or 12 months (depending on your pre-existing tolerance for online forums), it becomes inescapable.

I've seen a few members that actually tried to go away... and after a while they all came back. hehehehe

(even if the jokes about the google dance went over their head ;) )

They don't know how lucky they are for that one.
