Broadband hits 2m in UK

The success will be seen as a sign that the UK is catching up with its European neighbours in the race to be the best place for fast net services.

With new connections running at 35,000 a week, telecoms regulator Oftel is confident the UK can reach the top of the broadband league table.

BT broadband actively went out and recruited small to medium size ISP's to partner them. there basic plan was to find a local ISP and sign them up on managed broadband then they dropped the exchange levels so that we could start selling their product. it worked well for us
