I’ve been meaning to start a blog for about 4 months got loads of material against Sky, Bensons for beds, the Greater Manchester Police force, local trades people – particularly plasters.
Whilst I think that blogs are just flavour of the month and will died a quick death it’s good to know that the UK service (read total and utter lack of) sector got a kick in the butt and is suffering from it – it needs it, the standards are appalling. It’s interesting that she is savvy enough re. adwords to understand how to inflict maximum pain… …I got to email her!
To answer the question. No it’s just a flash in the pan, most people are far too lazy and give up at the first hurdle but it’s good to see someone giving it a try.

Or it could be they have paid her off
Her blog comes up "The page cannot be displayed" and there are no Google Adwords
Interestingly a dissatisfied customer in a hotel in Cornwall has had an ongoing case. (sensitive of tos try looking for a complaint about a hotel in cornwall)
The guy turned up at the hotel, had a complaint, it was dealt with badly, he bunged up a web site, and basically refused to take it down over 18 months ;)
I like it when big corporations get slated on the net, and it draws attention, but everyone did it there would be twice as many web sites. ;)
It's good to see the little guy win!
A few examples I have had in the last couple weeks (of which customers began to swear when they didn't IMMEDIATELY get their way):
With customers feeling they can fight anything and get away with it, especially fueled by credit-card companies which often side with e-customers on e-disputes, this new breed of e-customers are getting more & more emboldened, and more-and-more frustrating to deal with.
E-commerce anyone? I'll stick with informational websites, thank-you! ;)
I lost/broke the widget, send me another NOW!
I now want to return the widget - here's my receipt, I bought it 12 months ago.
And don't forget the infamous:
I want my money back now. I KNOW I bought this from you, but I don't have my receipt, I don't remember when it was, and I can't remember how I paid.
When I worked in retail, our most infamous customer brought back an item to return, with a receipt, but that receipt was dated 12 years earlier. And yes, we gave him his money back.
I think a refund was a worthy exchange for such a good laugh ;)
