The BBC reported [news.bbc.co.uk] recently that one of Saddam's sons had withdrawn $1billion in cash from the Iraqui Central Bank one night immediately before the troops arrived. It seems that he removed the money in 3 articulated trucks complete with trailers.

Who is going to be the first to receive the email that goes something like the following :

Dear Friend,
I have been given your name by a mutual aquaintence who has asked to remain anonymous. I am Qusay, the son of Saddam Hussein, the former elected leader of the Kingdom of Iraq. Before my father was deposed by the tyrant George Bush he asked me to place into an international bank some contingency funds in case of emergency(around $1 billion).

We now need your help in retrieving that money from the Baghdad branch of Barings Bank. It is a little difficult for us to visit the bank at this time, so we ask for your help in this matter. We are offering twenty million US dollars (plus expenses) for this service. This is a major operation, the money will not fit into a carrier bag or even a suitcase.

If you have access to a fleet of trucks and have a credit limit on your gold card that will enable you to charter a jumbo jet to fly to Moscow / Paris / Libya / Syria (delete as applicable) then please contact us at your earliest convenience.

Yours in Confidence

Qusay Hussein

That's nothing. I got one from Saddam himself a few weeks ago. Seems his family had fled the country, and he needed my help smuggling money out for them to live on. :)

Yeah, but I bet that one was fake.

Nope, he hasn't. And Saddam wrote me before the conference, so my reputation must precede me by a bit more than I'd previously thought.

fake

NONSENSE. He really did need my help, and I bet the fact that I didn't smuggle money for him did a great part to speed the resolution of the military conflict, on account of his ruined morale from my heartless refusal to aid his family...

...or something like that.
