For those numismatists collecting state quarters New Hampshire's quarter just went up in value.

The Old Man of the Mountains, New Hampsire's state symbol is no more.

That's sad. Being from the Northeast US, the Old Man is a strong memory from childhood vacations to New Hampshire.

I'm glad I actually stopped to take a good look at him last fall.

Yes it is sad. It was one of the State's best features - that and the Kankamangus highway.

I hear they're working on plans to put up a replica in it's place.
