Unofficial Meeting for Affiliates at PubCon

Hi everyone,

After getting a dozen or so Stickies and emails it looks like we should get a time and date fixed for the unofficial meeting of Affiliate Marketers at this years PubCon in Boston.

Last years meeting was arranged by Go60Guy and was extremely informal. Essentially a bunch of us just pulled up stools in the hotel bar and talked. It was great fun and very educational.

I can't think of any reason why we shouldn't go with the same loose and informal style this year straight after the main event on Saturday.

That way, anyone coming to PubCon that would like to join in, can do so.

So, if you'd like to join in, let us know here and if anyone has reservations about the arrangements, discuss it here.

just been reading UKs biggest affiliate forum (yes, i do spend time away from here) and I know that those guys are really looking forward to Pubcon, and are sure to love this little get together.

Also, a few affiliate types have stickied back me about getting together Thursday evening for dinner at Durgin Park. Meet me in the Hotel Lobby at 8:00 P.M. and we'll go over there.

I'm developing several e-zines and haven't decided how to monetize them once the audience starts to build.

But I'd like to discuss affiliate work, and find out more, if that's okay...

Sure is, the more the merrier ;)

Depending on how many people are interested we may need to section off some space for our use though I think we'll probably get away with designating a large corner of the bar ;)

Thursday I wont be in, So if ya do the rundown on thursday I want a video copy of the event and I'll be ready to pick it up Friday. :D But Saturday works for me just fine :D

There is a large meeting room down stairs in the pub. We can certainly carve out a space there during the 'pub' part of the festivities.

There is a meeting room that will fit about 50 downstairs. Even has a whiteboard, and their will be a mini bar just outside the door ;-)
