I just started looking through the latest images from the Mars Orbital Camera at:
[mars.jpl.nasa.gov...]

The enlargments can run pretty big if you're on a dial up connection, but these photos are stunning - even the thumbnails.

Asa Dotzler mentioned them on his Mozilla Blog. He said some of them belong on a gallery wall, and I agree.

Some of the "dunes" are beautiful. And some of the other structures are exceptionally mysterious. Never saw anything like that out my plane window.

"some of them belong on a gallery wall" - i agree too, its funny though, i dont think people appreciate images like that anywhere near enough.

Our local Gallery did a small exhibit on space photography once, it was great but alot of the pictures werent real.

My favourite ones from the bunch you posted have to be the lomonsov crater and the Dust devil, reminds me of the chalbi.

You were not in on this thread tedster. Might be a good read.

very nice pics, thanks for the link... anyone else have the NASA channel on satellite or cable? sometime late at night they give different planet perspectives, usually earth orbit though.
